The Victory Room Refurbishment and Promenade Launch
Sunday 11 Jan 2009

In February 2008, The Lord Mayor of Melbourne, John So officially launched the Victory Promenade and refurbished Victory Room at a sparkling cocktail party attended by 350 guests.

Comprising a brand new terrace overlooking the Docklands Waterfront and a view of the stadium’s arena, the Victory Room and Promenade have transformed Etihad Stadium’s largest function space into one of Melbourne’s finest, boasting a capacity of 1250 for a banquet or over 3000 for a cocktail party.

Introducing the Lord Mayor, Etihad Stadium’s CEO Ian Collins AM said he had no doubts the Victory Room and Promenade would prove to be another successful drawcard for the venue, providing an excellent and extremely spacious function space for gala events.

The Victory Room and Promenade launch showed off an array of banquet and conferencing possibilities, and was met with acclaim by the large group of VIPs from Melbourne’s events and conferencing industry.

A further highlight of the evening was the menu designed by multi-award winning chef and co-owner of Pearl Restaurant, Geoff Lindsay. Lindsay’s mouth-watering selection of foods was another factor behind the success of the evening.

All in attendance agreed the evening was another example of Etihad Stadium being a versatile venue, which offered a variety of events other than great football.
