Affirmation of Etihad Stadium’s Arena Mode configuration has been acknowledged with the announcement that Grammy and Emmy award winning artist Justin Timberlake will bring his 20/20 Experience World Tour to Etihad Stadium, Melbourne on Thursday September 18, 2014.
JT will open his Australian tour at Etihad Stadium on September 18 before additional performances in Sydney, Brisbane, Perth and Adelaide.
Public tickets for the Etihad Stadium act go on sale this Friday, March 7 at 9am through the Ticketmaster network. JT’s all-new fan club, the Tennessee Kids (#TNKids) will tomorrow (March 4) have access to pre-sales. Fans should visit www.thetennesseekids.justintimberlake.com to register for the fan club and receive a special code to access the pre-sale.
Etihad Stadium CEO Paul Sergeant said the confirmation of the Justin Timberlake act was further acknowledgment of the success of the venue’s recently introduced ‘Arena Mode’ configuration.
“Sectioning the arena into a more intimate venue through the installation of a sophisticated combination of draping, hydraulics and protective flooring was both a tremendous innovation for the venue and the Australian live entertainment market,” Mr Sergeant said.
Other recent acts to perform in ‘Arena Mode’ at Etihad Stadium were KISS and Mariah Carey. The same configuration is also used to host the annual North Melbourne AFL Grand Final Breakfast.
