Etihad Stadium is fully accessible for mobility impaired and wheelchair patrons. Outside all Etihad Stadium’s public lifts, there is signage stating that the venue’s lifts are available for public use, however, we request that priority is given to the elderly, patrons with special needs and disabled patrons.
Purchasing mobility impaired and carers seating
Tickets for all matches at Etihad Stadium are available through the Ticketmaster network. Call Ticketmaster on 136 100 or visit Ticketmaster for more information or to purchase tickets.
Etihad Stadium has 470 seats and wheelchair bays across all price categories reserved for mobility impaired patrons. Most of the bays are situated alongside companion seats.
The use of Companion Cards is dictated by the hirer (sporting code or entertainment event). For more information or to check the eligibility for each event, please contact Etihad Stadium reception at 03 8625 7700.
For all AFL matches, a zero priced admission ticket is allocated for each ‘companion’.
Etihad Stadium provides easy access for mobility-impaired patrons through elevators, ramps and easily accessed mobility impaired seats and wheelchair bays.
For ease of access, disabled bathrooms are located within close proximity of all disabled bays.
Accessible Lifts are located at street level at the Bourke Street (as part of the Medibank building) and Harbour Esplanade entrances. Accessible Lifts service street level and Etihad Stadium’s external concourse (Level 1).
There are multiple lifts located on each level of Etihad Stadium. During events, a Customer Service representative is situated in each of the lift lobbies on Levels 1 and 3 at the conclusion of all events at Etihad Stadium to assist mobility impaired patrons.
Stairwells are located adjacent to the lift lobbies and ramps are situated throughout all Levels. Please note that access to the car park is only via the lifts or stairs. There is no ramp access.
A telephone with TTY capabilities for the hearing impaired is located at LiveWire inside Gate 2 on Level 1.
Getting to Etihad Stadium
Southern Cross Station is located alongside Etihad Stadium and access is available via a pedestrian bridge. After alighting from your train, please use the Accessible Lift from Spencer Street’s platform to the Bourke Street pedestrian footbridge.
Mobility impaired and wheelchair patrons can use any of Etihad Stadium’s public Gates to gain access to the venue. Lift lobbies located in the four Etihad Stadium hubs (aisles 6, 19, 30 and 43) and/or ramps will then take you to the required level.
Low floor trams are currently available along the tram 109 route along Swanston Street. Tram timetables that depict the Accessibility icon indicate that wheelchair accessible services are available to customers.
To determine which services provide accessible trams, please refer to your timetable. To view a full list of trams that provide wheelchair access, please log onto Metlink Melbourne.
All mobility impaired patrons who require a ticket should instruct the taxi to drop off on the Bourke Street Extension outside the Accessible Lift. The external elevator will then take you to the external concourse where an admission ticket can be purchased.
If you have an entry ticket, instruct the driver to enter any car park at Etihad Stadium and drop off at the lift lobby closest to your seat.
Please note that only patrons with tickets are able to access internal lifts.
Etihad Stadium has 52 designated parking bays for mobility impaired patrons, all of which are located adjacent to lift lobbies on all three parking levels.
Patrons are encouraged to reserve a disabled parking bay through the Ticketmaster network. Call Ticketmaster on 136 100 or visit Ticketmaster for more information or to purchase a reserved parking bay. Alternatively, call the Etihad Stadium Car Park office on (03) 8625 7201.
Mobility impaired patrons can be dropped off by private vehicle on car park level B3.
